2024 Jog-a-thon Information

Each year the Monroe community puts our best foot forward to raise much needed funds. During the pledge period, students will ask friends and family members for donations. On the day of the event, Wednesday October 9th, students will run or walk as many laps as they can in a specified amount of time. This is a fundraiser that not only brings in funds to enhance the education our students receive at Monroe, but also encourages students to build a strong mind and body. 

 

 

The money we raise goes towards the many PTA supported programs at Monroe including:

  • Assemblies
  • Field Trips
  • Classroom enrichment
  • Garden
  • Library

 $10,000 raised by 10/4  Dance Party Recess on 10/4
 $15,000 raised by 10/18  Students will toss water balloons at Mr. Morrison
 $20,000 raised by 10/11  All students get a Snow Cone
 $25,000 raised by 10/18  BMX Bike Assembly - Date TBD

Grade/Class Prizes

  • Top grade level will earn $50 for classroom supplies for the teachers and a class pizza party. 
  • Each class that earns an average of $50/student will earn a glow recess on 11/1/24
